The overall vision of the TUATEA group : Betting on the basic essentials.

Within our group, going back to the roots is essential, we focus on basics, on the mere essence of things. Did you not notice our ferries were named after primordial values, such as simplicity, authenticity and honesty?

– The Tauati Ferry : in Tahitian language, Tauati means  “to assemble, to put together”. And as for our boat, we did put two catamaran hulls together to make but one ferryboat.

– The ‘Apetahi Express : The ‘Apetahi is an endemic flower of Raiatea and a symbol of the Leeward islands, by extension. Since our shuttle serves this archipelago from Tahiti, it simply seemed essential to name it after this species.

And besides, you might be wondering how Tuatea is related to it all ? Well, in Tahitian language, it refers to the highest wave of a series, the one which takes us further together with boldness, benevolence and sincerity! This is how we set sail from now on and how we envision our own future.

Indeed, we dare to think we are not just another means of transport in the islands of Tahiti. We are more than that and we, with all the representatives of the Tuatea group,  endeavor to create a safe place where both our ambassadors and clients can blossom.

We work in the tourism industry and intend to have a good impact on our islands, marked by this typically Polynesian authenticity and respect of our environment. We care too much about our lagoons to invest on a resort featuring overwater bungalows. However, we guarantee a wonderful experience at the Raiatea Lodge Hotel and the team of Moana Voyages (our local travel agency) will make sure to give you the best advice to make the most of your stay in our islands.
